Chairman, Bannari Amman Group of Companies

Dr. S. V. Balasubramaniam is the Chairman of the Bannari Amman Group of Companies and a distinguished industrialist, agriculturist, educationist, and philanthropist. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, he has played a significant role in driving both industrial growth and social impact.

He also serves as Chairman of the Bannari Amman Foundation, which has led several initiatives in water conservation, afforestation, sanitation, healthcare, and farmer training. The Foundation actively promotes rainwater harvesting and water augmentation practices across the region.

Dr. Balasubramaniam has served as President of the Indian Sugar Mills Association (twice), and as President of the South Indian Sugar Mills Association for both Tamil Nadu (thrice) and Karnataka. He has been honoured with several prestigious awards, including the Seva Rathnakara Award from Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math, the Bhakta Siromani Award from the Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, and the TNF Excellence Award from the Tamil Nadu Foundation, USA.
